Seminar: “The New Global Context and Hong Kong’s Export Outlook in 2017”
The ECIC organised a seminar on “The New Global Context and Hong Kong’s Export Outlook in 2017” on 21 November 2016. Professor Eric C. Yim, JP, Chairman of the ECIC Advisory Board, said that the global economy remained stagnant in 2016. The effect of the new US president’s inauguration has yet to be seen. The Eurozone’s economy continued its steady recovery pace, but the influence of Brexit has not fully emerged. Meanwhile, Japan’s economic performance remained lacklustre. To assist exporters in facing global uncertainties, the ECIC provides timely services and enhanced measures including the “Small Business Policy” and free buyer credit assessments to help them manage their credit risks.
